8th grade U.S. history

Standard of the day 8.12.7 Understand how America had changed by the early 1900s

6/9 Our learning goal today is to bring closure to our final chapter.


There is NO new learning log entry for today.

We will begin class today by returning our books to the Media Center.

Then we will hear any final recitations or re-recites.

7th grade social studies

Standards of the day: all of the standards under 7.10

6/9 Our learning goal today is to show mastery of the standards related to the scientific revolution.

There is NO new learning log entry for today.

We will begin today by cleaning up our textbooks and then returning them to the Media Center.

Then you will turn in your famous scientists one pager.  It is due today.

Next you will try reciting a small piece of the Declaration of Independence.

Speech and Debate

Standards of the day: CCSS.ELA-Literacy, Public Speaking

Our learning goal today is to begin to gain a basic understanding of how to attach different meanings to words.

 

Today we will clean up the room.


Then we will do some final fun debates.

We will begin class today by discussing the results of Friday's final quiz.

Then we will clean up our textbooks and get them ready for turn in tomorrow.

Next we will hear final recitations.

7th grade social studies

There is NO new learning log entry for today.

We will begin today by reviewing the information that we learned about the scientific revolution.

Then you will take your final quiz and turn in your Ch. 11 binder papers & Active Reading Workbook pages.  Both are due today.

Next you will finish work on your famous scientists one pager.  It is due at the start of the period tomorrow.

You will also begin work on a very short recitation piece.
